The Raiffeisen Bank in Gossau,
Switzerland is using Frontrunner
XT matting to provide a safe
passage for pedestrians on three
footbridges which link the car-park
to the bank’s entrance. Previously
the original steel bridges got cold
very quickly which made the
walkway surface icy and slippery.

The 100% vinyl open grid
matting is manufactured by Plastic
Extruders and was specified by
flooring specialist Wibatec. It is
very effective for tough external
environments as its diamond cut
surface provides increased traction
and safety underfoot even in wet
and icy conditions. The close grid
construction also makes it heel and
wheel-proof and it is flexible
enough to contour over the curve of
the bridge.

Frontrunner XT is supplied in
rolls of 10m and in widths of 60, 91
and 120cm.
