Intelligent Corporate Eyecare (ICE)
has launched a single voucher,
covering both eye test and spectacles,
which can be passed electronically
from the employer directly to the
employee.
At a cost of just £25 for the entire
process, employees can visit the
optician of their choice, and upgrade
their glasses to suit their style.

Furthermore, even those
employees not eligible for glasses for
VDU use will receive a significant
contribution towards the cost of
their private prescription spectacles.

ICE vouchers can help employers
meet the 1992 Health and Safety
(Display Screen Equipment)
Regulations (amended in 2002)
which require employers to provide
all employees who use visual display
units (VDUs) with eye tests when
requested and provide them with
glasses if required.
