IOSH introduces training online
VITAL WORKPLACE safety and health training can now be delivered online, providing many more people with the opportunity to develop key skills needed during the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.
The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) has introduced an e-learning version of its NCFE IOSH Level 3 Certificate in Safety and Health for Business.
This internationally recognised course, launched in 2017, is unique in that it not only teaches technical skills but also shows how to successfully implement them in the workplaces.
The move will offer new and aspiring occupational safety and health professionals anywhere in the world the chance to gain the skills and knowledge needed to keep workplaces safe and healthy.
IOSH says that having this course available as an e-learning option is particularly crucial during the Covid-19 pandemic, with face-to-face training not being possible in many countries.
Jonathan Nobbs, head of corporate engagement at IOSH, said: “We are delighted to launch our Safety and Health for Business qualification as e-learning.
“We know that the world of work is changing dramatically, and it is vital that IOSH supports occupational safety and health professionals to be influential and impactful across supply and value chains.
“Through this qualification, we will equip existing and new safety professionals not only with technical knowledge and understanding but also with the business acumen, language and techniques to drive real change. Who doesn’t want to have an impact at work?
“This is why we are offering the first 250 applicants free Student Membership.
“And having it available online means it can be studied anywhere at any time.”
The e-learning course is available to be booked with IOSH.
