productThe BSIF Registered Safety Supplier scheme, launched in January to support its mission to eliminate counterfeit and illegal products, has met with a significant take-up by manufacturers and distributors of PPE and safety equipment and more are joining on a weekly basis.
productSince its launch in January, the Fit2Fit Accreditation scheme, for fit-testers of respiratory protective PPE, has been inundated with enquiries which validates the need for such a scheme.
productSince launching its campaign to eliminate counterfeit and illegal PPE and safety products from the UK market, 15 products have been identified as not performing to the standard being claimed, 22 product certificates have been shown to be fraudulent or incorrect and enquiries to the BSIF have increased considerably.
productThe BSIF has received several questions to its InfoDesk regarding whether type-4 protective clothing is adequate following the banning in France of a number of products.
productThe judging for the BSIF Safety Awards has now taken place and there will be 12 finalists and six awards made for Product Innovation at the Safety & Health Expo on the 11th May at the NEC in Birmingham.
