Raising standards in mobile access equipment

PASMA Tower Safety Week returns
Working well with towers is the theme of this year’s PASMA Tower Safety Week which runs from 12 – 17 November 2017. Now in its fifth year, the campaign will again promote tower safety and good practice internationally via a series of events and activities designed to keep people safe.
Height safety: Towers take centre stage
PASMA, the trade association representing the international mobile access tower industry, has confirmed that Tower Safety Week 2016 – which ran from 14-18 November – was the most successful and best supported event yet. This year’s campaign took as its theme Working Well With Towers.
Towers with Cantilevers course
The Prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association (PASMA) has launched an advanced training course: Towers with Cantilevers.
Tower Week
Trade body PASMA holds its second national Tower Week during 10-14 November across the UK and Ireland.
Dangerous towers focus
Not on your Life’, a new campaign on the dangers of using unsafe towers launched by industry body PASMA earlier this year, entered its next stage in June with a CoreSkills+ talk at the Safety & Health Expo focusing on the issue.
Not on your life! Championing EN1004
‘Not on your life!’ is a new safety initiative from PASMA, the trade body representing the mobile access tower industry. Launched at The Health & Safety Event at the NEC in Birmingham earlier this year, it champions the use of only those mobile access towers that satisfy the requirements of EN1004, the European product standard for towers that sets out the minimum safety criteria.
Workshop debut
At the IOSH Conference which runs alongside the Safety & Health Expo on 17th-18th June, mobile access tower industry body PASMA will be delivering a workshop as part of IOSH’s CoreSkills+ programme for the first time.
Advanced tower course
After training over 65,000 people to work safely at height last year, trade body PASMA has unveiled its latest training course, Towers for Riggers.
