When it comes to operating fork lift trucks, human error is the most common cause of accidents at work. To offer support to drivers, Linde Material Handling (MH) has launched electronic driver assistance system the Linde Safety Pilot.
Material handling specialist Linde has won the safety award for its R14-R20 Reach Truck range in the Fork Lift Truck Association Awards for Excellence 2014 (FLTA).
Linde Material Handling has
introduced a hand pallet truck with a
brake. The Pro Brake model is
capable of lifting loads up to 2,500kg,
providing a safer, more productive
alternative in manual handling. The
effort involved in moving Pro Brake
from stationary is said to be one
sixth of that compared to a similar
machine without a brake.
Linde Material Handling has
invested £2.9m into strengthening its
forklift truck hire offering throughout
the UK, including its heavy trucks
fleet. Linde says that the investment
will further enhance its position as the
CRH, a global leader in building
materials, uses a fleet of over 200, 2.5t
to 8t engine counter balance trucks in
its UK operations alone within Ibstock
Brick, Forticrete and Supreme
Concrete. With numerous locations in
Linde Material Handling (UK) is
showcasing its visual driving path
warning device – BlueSpot – to
improve truck operator safety within
the warehouse environment.
