From the days when Robert Purves Adam set up shop to manufacture a simple range of cleaning and bleaching agents for the local textile industry in 1891, to the present day, we have remained an independent family-owned company with manufacturing at the heart of our business.
At our purpose-built 65,000 sq ft Selkirk base, we manufacture and stock a core range of Arpal branded chemical products. When you buy the "Blue Box” you are not just buying chemicals, you are buying into the quality, value and care ethos of the business.
All our products are developed in our on-site laboratory. With a can-do attitude at the core of our business ethos and a passion for how our "Blue Box” products perform across all market sectors, we create high quality formulations in a range of pack sizes, to suit the higher traffic, hospitality, health and commercial cleaning sectors.
Our manufacturing history, formulating experience and flexibility enables us to create bespoke products for own label customers and niche market sectors. Although "Blue Box" represents the hero Arpal brand, we also manufacture over 250 "White Box" lines under own label.
RP Adam Ltd is much more than a company simply manufacturing chemical products. Our primary aim is to be seen as the outstanding provider of service in our industry by being within reach of our customers and distributors at all times, irrespective of their size, location and market sector.
