To better track the effects of air quality improvement measures in Carmarthenshire, the County Council is testing monitoring technologies including a new type of air quality monitor from Air Monitors.
Following the successful completion of a series of field trials in both the UK and Germany, Air Monitors latest TEOM FDMS instruments have met the MCERTS performance standards and the EU Equivalence designation criteria (Defra approval) for continuous ambient air quality monitoring for both PM2.5 and PM10.
Trials conducted by the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) have identified improved methodologies for sampling and measuring bioaerosols at composting facilities.
