Clive Johnson elected IIRSM president
16 December 2019
CLIVE JOHNSON was elected as president of the institute for the next two years at it’s AGM on 3 December 2019.
Clive is a well known advocate of the risk profession, previously Group Head of Health, Safety and Security at property giant Landsec and now Group Head of Health and Safety for Derwent London plc.
Clive takes the reins from outgoing president, Andy Hawkes.
Clive said, “A key focus for IIRSM and myself in particular during the next two years will be promoting the benefits of diverse workplaces. Teams that encourage diversity in gender, ethnicity, background and age are better equipped to encourage innovation and make informed business decisions. We’ll be focussing on education to improve mentoring, communication and leadership skills for everyone, which we believe will lead to more productive and happy workplaces.”
Andy Hawkes, chief executive of Cardinus Risk Management, and Ruth Denyer, director of risk at ITV, were re-elected as Trustees.
