Light decontamination system

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

A new portable airborne and surface decontamination solution from Scott Safety will debut at Safety & Health Expo 2016

According to the company, the solution will achieve a health & safety industry first: decontamination of chemical, biological and radiological vapours, liquids and particles simultaneously in as little as five minutes. In validation trials, the system decontaminated anthrax by 99.9999999 percent from a 100m³ space, in under five minutes.

Scott Safety’s stand will be divided into five distinct sections; decontamination, general industry, industrial fire/marine, petrol, oil and gas, and head and sensory. Over 70 products will be on show, with Scott Safety’s team of experts on hand to make recommendations.

Visitors heading over to Safety & Health Expo’s fashion show will not only get to see the new products worn and demonstrated as part of a modern dance act, but will also get to meet the Scott Safety Superheroes – championing the true heroes of the industry.

Another solution set to showcase at the event is Duraflow – a lightweight and ergonomically designed Powered Air Respirator with sophisticated real-time air flow control technology.  The new solution gives complete wearer assurance of respiratory protection to focus on the job rather than the protective equipment itself, in a multitude of hazardous situations and industries.
