Save a life for £1 a day

In the last 12 months Cardiac Science has installed automated external defibrillators (AEDs) for people in all walks of life. The option to lease an AED for less than £1 a day has seen Cardiac Science’s state of the art Powerheart G5 AEDs put in place to protect employees in locations from tax offices to distilleries, packaging firms to industrial services companies, and from fleets of fishing vessels to major building projects.

Some of the UK’s leading building and construction names, including Carillion, Amalgamated Construction (AMCO) and Balfour Beatty, have snapped up AEDs in a ground breaking hire scheme, which ensures that cost does not prevent a company putting worker health and safety at the top of the agenda.

The high spec, super intuitive Powerheart G5 is the first ever AED to combine real-time CPR guidance and fast shock times with advanced patient therapy, and will only deliver a shock if required. The unit has been designed to literally talk a rescuer through the process step-by-step, with clear voice and text prompts meaning it can be used by almost anyone regardless of training.

While not enforceable by law, providing defibrillators in the workplace is recommended by the IOSH, the British Heart Foundation and Resuscitation Council UK.
