The AutoSafe Pro is the latest heavy-duty, ‘metal-detectable’ safety knife innovation from Moving Edge. The introduction of this metal bodied version is in direct response to the success of the existing Moving Edge AutoSafe auto-retracting blade safety knife, which had previously only been available with a lighter weight plastic body.

Like all AutoSafe ‘utility’ knives, the new ‘Pro’ version features the same automatic pressure-sensitive blade retraction for user safety on completion of the cut. It’s durable, but ergonomically-designed metal body, makes AutoSafe Pro suitable for heavy-duty use and for both left and right handed users. 

The retractable blade (which can be exposed at ether 17mm or 23mm) is designed to eradicate the risk of leaving the blade exposed when unattended. It is said to make effortless work out of cutting through a variety of packaging materials, even triple wall cardboard. The new metal-detectable version of AutoSafe also makes it suitable for food processing operations, as well as general warehouse/distribution use.
