Controlling hazards

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

QHSE software company Airsweb, has released its Permit to Work modular software solution to the general market, following a successful pilot with glass manufacturer NGF Europe.

Airsweb Permit to Work is a software solution developed to enable full management control of potentially hazardous tasks. A key feature is its capability to create specific job templates for tasks such as working in heat, confined spaces, and manage the conditions necessary for working at height.

The pilot went live in 2012 to coincide with a major NGF construction, design and management project in Lea Green.
Paul Shacklady, EHS manager at NGF Europe, states: “The Permit to Work module proved an asset in controlling large amounts of contractors across a host of disciplines. We are currently in the throes of developing the Permit to Work module further to include a contractor database.”
