Knife amnesty unit

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

Wybone has developed a knife amnesty unit, designed for the collection of knives, blades and other weapons.

Knife crime is a huge issue in the UK, and these units are designed to help combat the problem.

Manufactured from galvanised steel, these units are secure and built to last. The one-way chute prevents anyone taking any items out of the bin once they have been surrendered and the internal baffle system means no one can reach inside.

The universal, anti-vandal padlock hasps prevent break-in using bolt croppers and the stainless steel rod hinges have 5 point welded tie sections and an anti-crowbar return to prevent unwanted access to the contents.

The knife amnesty units have a sloping top to prevent anti-social behavior such as sitting or standing on the top or unwanted items and litter being left on the lid.
