Eurosafe Solutions has supplied a comprehensive fall protection solution to contractors and staff carrying out refurbishment work on the £850m redevelopment of Reading Station.
The company worked with specialist contractor Lakesmere to design, supply and install the fall protection, access and safety equipment to support contractors who were building a passenger walkway above the platforms, whilst the station was still fully operational.
Eurosafe Solutions installed the fall protection systems above fall hazard zones, which included gaps between the pre-made cassettes on the roof.
Horizontal Kalsafe Latchway mansafe systems were installed on the near flat top and bottom roofs, along with fall protection netting, an abseil system at the head of the slope, and a Latchway Bridge Latch system.
