Downdraught bench

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

AirBench is sponsoring Bloodhound SSC – the car which aims to break the 1000mph barrier and smash the current land speed record.

The company will provide downdraught benches and associated equipment to the team during the project.

“We became involved in the project due to the extensive use of carbon fibre in the construction of the car – leading to an ongoing requirement for highly effective dust extraction,”said AirBench MD Simon Cook.

Bloodhound SSC will use AirBench FN189784H, a heavy duty downdraught bench designed to capture carbon fibre dusts. AirBench and Bloodhound SSC will be on stand C92 at the Composites Exhibition in November at the NEC.
