Delivering the goods

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

To cope with the very high volume of materials handled at its plant in Skierniewice, Germany, extruded uPVC window manufacturer VEKA AG relies on a fleet of Combilift four-way forklifts which has been delivering first rate and reliable service ever since the trucks were introduced ten years ago according to the company.

The multi-directional capability of Combilift range had proved to be ideally suited for handling the very long loads of extrusions and profiles at other VEKA plants, and the 11 trucks in operation at Skierniewice are no exception. A mix of 6t and 4t capacity Combilifts work across the site transporting finished product from the manufacturing facility to three warehouses. The stillages of up to 6m in length are stored six high in racking bays before they are picked for despatch.
