Contains Mandown sensor

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

Skyguard – the personal safety service for lone workers and at risk individuals – has launched MySOS Mandown.

Claimed to be Europe’s smallest personal safety device, it is identical in design to the MySOS except that it is fitted with a Mandown sensor which automatically raises an alarm to Skyguard’s 24 hour manned Incident Management Centre in the event of a fall or sudden impact.

Upon alarm activation, the information and location of the user will be transmitted to Skyguard’s professionally-trained controllers who will listen in, using the device’s two-way audio, assess the situation quickly and summon the right emergency response direct to the user. All audio and actions are digitally recorded – vital should the incident go to litigation.
