Aircraft noise website
Brüel & Kjær has launched website WebTrak MyNeighborhood, which ties into local airport noise monitoring systems to provide communities with answers about long-term noise impact.
The website uses visual tools and metrics covering arrival/departure counts, runway usage, fleet mix, respite time and counts of significant aircraft noise. Charts, such as heat maps, offer a new way of presenting when aircraft are operating and supplementary noise metrics are an easier way to explain noise impact.
“We’ve been really pleased with the success of WebTrak, which is now operational at over 50 airports.” said Matthew Barry at Brüel & Kjær.
