Lighting the way

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

Curtis Instruments has introduced a low cost multi voltage beacon for around £16 that offers customers an inexpensive and powerful safety light that, unlike conventional xenon technology, requires little or no upkeep during its long lifetime.

LEDs are said to have a solid state construction which strongly resists shock & vibration, which makes them suitable for industrial or construction trucks.

LEDs are also said to be incredibly bright, which means they can be used indoors and outdoors. Compared to xenons, LEDs are also said to last longer, use less energy and be less expensive to operate.
