Vending solution
The introduction of a highly efficient vending system implemented by Buck & Hickman has resulted in considerable cost savings for Siemens at their Lincoln site.

Siemens contracted Buck & Hickman for the supply of tooling, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and consumables in August 2010. As part of the contract Buck & Hickman was tasked with transforming stores provision and reducing product consumption.
They provided six vending areas situated in key locations around the factory. Installing 14 ProStock vending machines connected to 11 Maglock cupboards over a 12-month phased implementation period ensured tighter control over stock levels than the previous system, with greater traceability. These tighter controls resulted in audited savings of 30% during the first 12 months.
