Footwear manufacturer one step ahead
All safety footwear products from design-led Italian company U-Power have been complying with the new European Standard for safety footwear that came into force on 30 June for more than a year.
Although the European Commission is allowing non-compliant products already on the market to continue to be sold, buying U-Power footwear gives peace of mind that the latest Standard is already being fully met.
The new Standard (EN ISO 20345:2011), which contains updated requirements and new tests on anti-puncture mid-soles, was developed because of concerns related to the previous 2004 and 2007 Standards. However, the necessary tests specified by the EC were no problem for U-Power, whose range of safety footwear already complies with and exceeds the requirements of the legislation.
