Safer sticking

Henkel has expanded its
Loctite health and safety
range of non-hazardous
engineering adhesives. The
three hazard-label-free
cyanoacrylates or instant
adhesives, are clean and easy
to apply for fast positioning
and fixturing of parts.

Classified non-irritants,
the new additions are able to
join a wide variety of
dissimilar materials
including the bonding of
porous/acidic substrates such
as wood, paper, leather and
cork as well as plastics,
rubber and metals. The
resultant shear and tensile
bond strength is said to be
impressive even on very
small bond faces. All three
instant adhesives are
colourless with low bloom
and low odour.
