UK will display the SVAN 971
Sound Level Meter. The handy,
lightweight, Class 1 instrument is
up-to-the-minute and offers audio
event recording, detachable pre-amp
& microphone, a dosimeter
function and a vast time/history
logging capability. Conforming to
IEC 61672-1 standard, the 971 is
suitable for industrial hygiene, short
period environmental, and general
acoustic noise measurement. It
provides broadband results with all
required weighting filters, as well as
1/1 octave & 1/3 octave analysis.

Also on show will be the SVAN
977, which measures and analyses
Type 1 sound and vibration for
workplace health and safety and/or
environmental monitoring. Features
include the ability to
record results in three
acoustic or vibration
profiles, so that
measurements can be
performed with three
separate filters and
three distinct
detector time
constants.

The 977 also
provides broadband
results with all the
standard weighting
filters and offers an
impressive
time/history
logging capability.
