UVEX IS sponsoring the Women in Safety & Health Awards 2026, celebrating the achievements of women working throughout the occupational safety and health sector.

Taking place on 15 October 2026 at the Mercure London Earl’s Court, the awards recognise individuals making a difference to workplace safety and helping shape the future of the profession.

For uvex, supporting the awards is a natural extension of its approach to protecting people. With fit and comfort central to its product development, the company has long recognised the importance of providing PPE that suits the individual wearing it.

Its range includes safety footwear manufactured using lasts shaped to reflect the contours of women’s feet, with selected footwear styles available from size 3 up to size 16. Some glove ranges are offered in sizes 5 to 12, helping to accommodate a broad range of hand sizes. The same focus on individual fit extends to hearing protection. uvex offers some earplugs in three different sizes, an important consideration that is often overlooked when selecting hearing protection. The uvex xact-fit test system also measures the protection each wearer achieves from their earplugs, helping employers identify poor fit or unsuitable protection levels.

Attention to everyday details, including, for example testing safety eyewear with make-up or suncream, further reflects uvex’s commitment to understanding how people use PPE in practice and how ingredients in products such as make-up and suncream can affect PPE performance. Together, these considerations support a simple aim: helping everyone feel comfortable, confident and properly protected throughout the working day.

Clair Weston, head of marketing at uvex, said: “We’re delighted to support the Women in Safety & Health Awards. Diverse perspectives strengthen our profession, and these awards are an opportunity to recognise the women whose expertise, commitment and leadership are making workplaces safer.

“For us, inclusion is also a practical part of how we design PPE. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable, confident and properly protected at work. That means recognising differences in fit and offering products that meet people’s needs, from footwear shaped for women’s feet to gloves in a broad range of sizes.

“Supporting these awards feels like a natural fit for uvex. We look forward to celebrating the achievements of the finalists and the contribution they make across the sector.”

Through its sponsorship, uvex is supporting greater recognition of women’s contributions to occupational safety and health, while reinforcing its commitment to helping everyone feel good in the PPE they wear.
