Versatile V5 face shield

3M has launched the V5 Face
Shield System, a versatile solution
that enables users to create
customised head and face
protection for a range of hazards
and applications.

This means that for the first
time, high performance 3M face
shields can be attached to a G3000
safety helmet by 3M. The system
utilises 3M’s new V5 Face Shield
Carrier, which allows the
face shields to simply
‘snap’ into the face
shield carrier,
making it quick
and easy for the
user.

The V5 Face
Shield Carrier, as
part of the V5 Face
Shield System, enables
workers to wear a
combination of head, face, eye and
hearing protection at any one time.

It is compatible with a range of 3M
mesh face shields (5B/C/J) and a
polycarbonate face shield (5F-1),
which are said to offer excellent
protection against high speed
particles both from the front and
the sides of the face. For high noise
environments, hearing protection
and communication solutions can
also be added to the system.
