JSP introduces Sonis hearing protection

Performance sits at the core of the Sonis Mounted range. Every component has been carefully engineered and refined using specialist design and acoustic test equipment to ensure consistent, high-level noise attenuation across demanding industrial environments. The result is a PPE mounted ear defender range that delivers reliable protection without compromise.

The latest Sonis Mounted models feature new electrically insulated side arms that enable a ‘set and forget’ height adjustment for a precise, individual fit. Each arm rotates independently by 15° in both directions, helping maintain a consistent seal around the ear as the wearer moves. This multi-directional rotation balances cushion pressure and significantly enhances long-term comfort.

The Sonis cushions are manufactured using frequency-optimised foam and finished with a soft TPU skin. By rotating naturally with the wearer’s movement, the side arms distribute pressure evenly, reducing fatigue and improving wearer acceptance during extended periods of use. 

Designed for use in environments where electrical hazards may be present, Sonis Mounted ear defenders feature a non-conductive design with no exposed metal parts. The internal steel spring mechanism is fully isolated, reducing conductivity risks while maintaining mechanical performance.

Sonis Mounted ear defenders are tested and certified for use with JSP helmets and EVOGuard browguards, ensuring the correct level of hearing protection is achieved with each compatible configuration. The side arms are also designed to integrate seamlessly with a range of visor systems, supporting combined head, face and hearing protection.

The ear defenders are easy to wipe clean, with hygiene kits available for each model, allowing cushions and foam inserts to be replaced quickly and efficiently. For added branding and identification, Sonis cups can be customised with company logos using the JSP Logo Express® service.

Sustainability is embedded into the Sonis Mounted range. Durable construction, reusable components and effortless maintenance help extend product lifespan and reduce waste. The new rotation feature reduces wear on cushions both during use and when parked, while hygiene kits allow simple replacement of key components to prolong service life.
