HSM wins Business Publication of the Year Award

HEALTH AND Safety Matters, a Western Business Media publication, has been named Business Publication of the Year at the Professional Publishers Association’s (PPA) Independent Publisher Awards 2025 in London.

Event host, comedian Lou Sanders said: “Judges praised Health & Safety Matters for its authoratitive impact and research-led editorial, whilst commending the engagement across web, newsletter and record commercial results.”

Health and Safety Matters, was also shortlisted finalist in the Media Brand of the Year category, Commercial Partnership of the Year (in conjunction with the British Safety Industry Federation for the BSIF Guide) and Western Business Media was shortlisted for the Independent Publishing Company of the Year (annual publishing turnover less than £5m).

Commenting on the win, editor Kelly Rose said, “I am absolutely delighted that Health and Safety Matters has won Business Publication of the Year—an award widely regarded as the most prestigious accolade that can be bestowed upon a business-to-business magazine. This achievement is a true team effort, and I couldn’t be prouder of the dedication, talent and hard work shown by everyone involved.”
