Safesite has installed a
bespoke lifeline system on
the new public conveniences
constructed as part of the
Jubilee Gardens renovation
along the Southbank.

Known as the ‘Jubiloo’ the
building features a golden
ship like roof which has been
designed to collect rainwater
to help flush the toilets.

Access is required for
maintenance purposes, but as
it can be viewed from both
the Hungerford Bridge and
the London Eye, the choice of
roof safety system had to be
discreet.

Safesite offered a continual
‘handsfree’ system which
enables the operatives to
work on the roof safely
without having to detach
from the fall protection
system. A specially designed
golden coating means that it
blends in with the roof.
