And the winners are…

The winners of the BSIF Safety Awards 2012 have been revealed at this year’s Safety & Health Expo at the NEC, Birmingham. These awards recognise pioneering innovation in the development of products and celebrate achievements and schemes that have ultimately been designed to reduce accidents and injuries in the workplace. As in previous years, there were three award categories: The BSIF Service Awards, The BSIF Safety Excellence Awards and The Product Innovation Awards.

David Lummis, Chief Executive Officer at the British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) commented: “Every year, the BSIF is proud to host these highly sought after awards. This year the Product Innovation Award category received so many outstanding entries that competition was fierce and it made choosing an overall winner a very difficult process.

“We would like to congratulate the winners who illustrated a continuous commitment to improving the safety industry whether in the creative design of a product, the introduction of a scheme or initiative or the service provided by a supplier, manufacturer or distributor to their customers.
“The BSIF Safety Awards continue to underline the Federation’s dedication to the highest standards within the supply of occupational health and safety products and services”.

BSIF Service Awards

An award for companies in the safety field offering exceptional and innovative service solutions, voted on by the entrants’ own customers.

BSIF Excellence Awards

Based upon case studies submitted by members, these awards recognise major improvements in occupational safety created in 2011/2012.

BSIF Product Innovation Awards

An award for products that are new and innovative and will contribute to improvements in occupational safety & health.
