Last year, Mentor’s crane course was
the first to receive
formal accreditation
from LEEA, the Lifting
Equipment Engineers
Association. In line
with this, the
company’s overhead
crane and slinging
safety guide has been
revised to reflect the
new accredited course
material.
The guide is said to
be an ideal reference manual for all
overhead crane operators and those
responsible for the safe slinging of
loads. Specifically written to
reinforce basic training and provide
a handy reminder of the key points
covered, the guide comes in the form
of a handy A6 pocketsize
booklet for quick
and easy reference.
Included in the
guide are sections on
health and safety
guidance and
legislation,
maintenance and preuse
checks, crane
operation, slinging and
signalling and the lift
plan.
