Through a procurement project
funded by the Scottish Government,
Scott Safety recently supplied its
M98 full face mask, designed
specifically for protection against
hazardous CBRN agents, to the
eight Scottish Fire and Rescue
services national
resilience USAR teams.

The M98 mask is
said to outperform the
exacting requirements set
by police and first responders in
critical situations. Its slim-line design
allows easy integration with police
helmets and visors and the elastomer
compound of the face piece features
excellent high temperature, chemical
and ozone resistance as well as
impermeability to gases.

The M98 can be fitted
with Scott’s own
40mm thread,
EN, NIOSH and
NATO approved
filter canisters and
used in a variety of different
applications including protection
from dust as a result of building
collapse, asbestos or CBRN attack.
