COPD awareness

The BLF – British Lung Foundation – helps increase awareness around respiratory illness to reduce absenteeism, increase productivity by reducing smoking levels, and offers staff the opportunity to earning about lung health.

Aims and objectives include: assisting employers in meeting their occupational health obligations; educating people about COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and raising awareness of early warning signs; reducing the impact of COPD in line with government policy; encouraging people to stop smoking; and directing people to healthcare services.

Customised to fit with an organisation’s operational needs, events typically look at lung function using the latest spirometry equipment and have respiratory specialists on hand to answer questions.
