EMF eLearning module June 1st 2007 Praxis42 has introduced an
eLearning module in
preparation for legislation
planned for 2008 concerning
electromagnetic fields in the
workplace.
Dr Gary Mason, director,
says "EMFs arise whenever
electrical energy is used so
any company whose
employees use or may be
exposed to anything that
may generate an EMF, such
as electric motors,
generators, microwave ovens
or industrial plastic welding
machines, will need to
assess risks, develop controls
and train employees to
demonstrate compliance
with the intended Regulation
and the requirements of the
Directive."
The EMF eLearning module
is a comprehensive training
course that aims to help
organisations be fully aware
of EMF in the workplace,
where it occurs or is
generated, the risks involved
and guidelines covering safe
working levels, enabling duty
holders to establish safety
precautions and controls. More articles from Praxis 42 Limited: |
