Access Control
December 1st 2005

Expanding the range of support available for DVRs, the latest version of TDSi's eXguard PRO access control software now supports the Bosch Divar DVR.

The software is scalable and distributable so the user has the choice of controlling systems range from those with one door to those with hundreds of doors using one PC or multiple PCs.

With the use of the Bosch Divar's profiles, the eXguard PRO can trigger alarms in response to specified events. This allows the DVR to start and stop recording in response to access control events. The software controls the Bosch Divar as a matrix, allowing the remote sections of cameras, monitors PTZ presets and alarm triggering.

With the use of this type of recording control, the amount of required storage within the DVR can be kept to a minimum as only recordings for access events need to be retained. No continuous recording is required.

TDSi says that a system can be upgraded to the latest cutting edge software without having the expense of replacing existing hardware.
