250 000th PAL CARD AWARDED BY IPAF
October 1st 2006 IPAF, the International Powered Access Federation, has issued its 250 000th PAL Card (Powered Access Licence). Tim Whiteman, MD, comments "The PAL Card has gone from humble beginnings less than 15 years ago to become a truly international training programme. A quarter of a million people have taken the time to get trained, which makes industry safer, but there are at least a million more to be trained." The PAL Card is awarded to those who successfully complete training on powered access equipment. The IPAF training programme for mobile elevating work platforms is certified as conforming to ISO 18878. A PAL Card, which is valid for five years, shows the equipment categories that the holder has been trained to operate. More articles from IPAF: |
