Call point and sounder
February 1st 2005

A simple combination of call point and sounder has been introduced by Klaxon Signals. Intended for use in smaller buildings where a full BS5839 alarm system is not required, Klaxalarm Boxer is a low cost alternative.

Battery operated, it can be installed individually or, alternatively, up to 12 units can be connected to cover different areas or rooms.

The unit is housed in an industry-standard 87mm red box. Pressing a sounder initiates a siren of 85dB(A) at 1m. A bright LED is also triggered and a drop down flag appears.

As there is no glass to break and no other moving parts to go wrong, there is no need to hold any spares.

A key is used to reset the Boxer after an alarm has been triggered.
