Safe use of power tools April 1st 2007 A City & Guilds approved Safe Use of Portable Electric Power Tools training course has been developed by Makita and Jomaro Training. The course offers owners and operators of all makes of power tools training in the correct method of setting up the machines and their correct and safe use. The course includes health and safety requirements – risk assessment, personal protective equipment, hand arm vibration syndrome (causes, effects and prevention) and the safe use of identified portable and electrically-operated power tools. The course takes a minimum of one day, subject to the number of tools to be covered.
