Two new ranges have been introduced by Polyflor to its sheet vinyl safety floor range – Polysafe Wood FX and Polysafe Mosaic.

Commenting on the new additions Simon James, marketing manager, says the products have been introduced in response to a growing demand for safety floors suitable for front of house areas.

He believes the products to be especially suitable for school and hospital receptions, corridors, wards and general circulation areas and points out that they can also be used in traditional safety areas such as bathrooms, toilets and changing rooms.

In addition to their decorative appeal, the two ranges comply fully with HSE guidelines, providing sustained slip resistance throughout their guaranteed 10-year life. Both ranges achieve 36+ on the RRL Pendulum wet test (Slider 96/Four S rubber) with a surface roughness of 20 microns and above.

The sustained slip resistance of Polysafe Wood FX is achieved by inclusion of clear aluminium oxide throughout the 0.7mm clear wear layer.

Polysafe Mosaic combines clear aluminium oxide and coloured quartz particles within the full thickness of its 0.7mm wear layer to give enhanced slip resistance.
