DBI-Sala, a Capital safety Brand, has introduced i- Safe, an intelligent safety system, to the European market.

The system is said to deliver real time solutions for inspection, inventory control and information management, and combines RFID-equipped fall protection equipment with web-based information management to maximise the effectiveness and minimise the total cost of safety programs.

i-safe will be standard on all DBI-Sala equipment by mid 2007. Additionally, a retrofit kit is available to incorporate i-Safe technology on equipment, including Protecta and Rollgliss branded products.

The system allows companies to track equipment assignments by worker or location, download or view equipment usermanuals, inspection criteria and safety regulations quickly and effortlessly.

It provides streamlined access to a variety of information that companies need for management of their safety programmes.
