Hands-free use
December 1st 2004

Ariana, from Protecta, is a permanent cable-based system that allows users to attach themselves and move safely without having to unhook.

It can be fixed to concrete or metallic structures, and an energy absorber or fall arrest device can be used with it.

Both straight and curved applications are suitable, and any number of configurations are possible.

The lifeline is attached to the building or structure by anchorage points that can be fitted to wall, ceiling, post, roof ridge, terrace or framework. The line can be fitted horizontally or at an inclination of up to 15°.

Five users can be attached.

Each will be connected by a lanyard to a shuttle that slides along the cable, for hands-free working.

The energy dissipation system absorbs part of the stress in the event of a fall, preventing injury to users and damage to the structure to which it is attached.
