Provides 20 hours of emergency lighting February 1st 2008 Home-Tek has negotiated
the rights to manufacture
and distribute the Safe-TLight
self-contained
nightlight and torch. The
device is the brain child of
British inventor Chris
Haines, who invented it
when his mother almost
fell down stairs one
night when the
electricity failed.
The emergency light
plugs into a normal 13A
socket, has a rechargeable
led torch that switches on
automatically if the
electricity fails providing the
ambient light level is below
the preset level.
During a power cut, the
light automatically switches
to its internal rechargeable
battery and provides
emergency lighting for about
20h. The light can be
removed to use as an
emergency torch.
In the event of a fire,
Safe-T-Light gives an
emergency light low down
below smoke level when
seconds can mean the
difference between life and
death. |
