Paper solution June 1st 2006 According to the HSE, slips are the biggest single cause of accidents in the catering industry and 90% of slips are due to wet floors. To alleviate the problem, Barema offers an after-mop disposable paper floor dryer that leaves a wet, mopped floor dry and ready for immediate use.
Driflor uses a special paper roll that absorbs liquid in seconds. The paper automatically winds on with every stroke. One revolution of the paper will dry 3m2 of wet mopped floor.
In addition to drying a floor after it has been mopped, the device can be used for dealing with the many small spills and splashes that can occur, for example, in a busy catering establishment.
Kitchen floors pose a notorious slip hazard and, when used with a degreasing spray, Driflor will both clean and dry the floor.
The company says that slip coefficient readings taken on kitchen floors after mopping found that when dried using Driflor, the floors were safer than when the floor was left to air dry. More articles from Barema Limited: |
