Durable and anti-slip

As a wholesaler of aquatic pets, J & K Aquatics has a central warehouse in Taunton with a large room where fish, crabs and other aquatic animals are housed.

The room's concrete floor was constantly wet and presented a slip and trip hazard as it never drained properly and was beginning to break up.

The company contacted TACT, requesting a flooring solution that was anti-slip even when wet, freedraining, durable and strong enough to withstand heavy tank trolleys. The surface had to be level, kind to employees' feet and attractive to look at.

Using Piazza TactTiles, Tact installed a new floor directly over the old one in just over a day. The client was also supplied with TactTiles unzip tools to lift tiles so that channel drains and manholes remain easily accessible.
