Compliance help for smaller firms June 1st 2008 The Forum of Private
Business (FPB) is helping
owners and managers of
smaller firms to comply with
complex and costly
environmental
responsibilities, following
research suggesting that,
although most want to
reduce their carbon
footprint, the burden of tax
is a significant disincentive.
Many smaller businesses
struggle to meet the
additional costs of recycling,
for example including
complying with 'producer
pre-treatment' regulations,
which compel them to treat
waste before it is taken to
landfill sites. The FPB has
teamed up with
greenbuying.co.uk, a
purchasing support website
that brings together a range
of sustainable business
goods and services. |
