Be seen in poor light August 1st 2008 Glow Safe has
launched a range
of long-sleeved
waistcoats, which
help wearers to be seen when
outside in poor light
conditions.
The waistcoats feature
flashing strips of material on
the front and rear panel -
which can contain a choice of
words eg. BANKSMAN
They are compliant with
Class 3 of the BS EN 471
standard relating to high
visibility clothing.
The waistcoats are robust
and the strips of GLOWSAFE
material can even be creased
or put through a washing
machine.
Paul Manning of Glow Safe
explains: "Unlike traditional
reflective waistcoats, there is
no dependency upon an
external light source in order
to be shown up in the dark.
This gives, for example, a
driver of an approaching
vehicle extra seconds to
register that a rider on a
horse is ahead. In three
seconds a vehicle travelling at
70 m.p.h. has covered over
100 yards. The wearer of one
of our vests can be seen up
to half a mile away." More articles from Glow Safe Ltd: |
