Crushing solution to waste February 1st 2007 When business growth pushed up waste volumes, food sauce supplier RHM Culinary brands needed a bigger metal drum crusher.
A Pakawaste customer of many years, the company contacted the waste handling specialist for a free audit.
Pakawaste recommended a volume-reducing Drumkrush as it is designed to make vehicles easier to load, is said to be safer to transport and to be more cost effective.
Designed to reduce volumes of all types of steel and aluminium drums of up to 45 gallon capacity, the robust machine’s sides are enclosed to meet health and safety standards.
The compaction head uses strategically placed spikes to puncture drums, so all excess air is expelled. Volume is reduced by 7:1, enabling significant savings to be made on the cost of scrap transport.
Residue is automatically drained into a stainless steel catchment tray which can be emptied manually or through a pumping system.
RHM has fitted a weatherproof canopy to protect both the operator and the Drumkrush from the elements |
