Panel's surveillance role October 1st 2007 The Vistamatic Vision Panel
range is designed to provide
optimum safety and
observation for any interior
door and is currently used
across a broad spectrum of
high security environments
by clients such as the MoD,
NHS, the prison service,
airports, banks and schools.
Designed to allow discreet
surveillance without
disturbance, the panels
enable controlled access to
and from areas where extra
surveillance may be required.
The Vision Panels operate
on a simple mechanism:
three layers of glass sheet
featuring opaque horizontal
bands, are placed on top of
each other within a single
panel frame. The centre
sheet is designed to move
freely and, when lifted via a
simple hand or elbowoperated
lever or knurled
knob, the view through the
vision panel is obscured.
When the panel is in the
closed position, it can
indicate that privacy is
required within, so persons
wishing to enter would know
to knock and wait. Panels
can also be left in the open
position if desired, allowing
clear vision into and out of
the room.
They provide a practical
solution for any environment
where the opening of doors
should be kept to a minimum
or where it would be an
advantage to observe before
physically entering or
leaving a room.
Customised operating
handles can be fitted on
both sides or one side only. More articles from Vistamatic Limited: |
