SCISSOR LIFT TABLES RAISE SAFETY LEVELS

Birch Engineering (Cuffley) has supplied two scissor lift tables to furnishings retailer H Ponsford to help in the unloading and loading of vehicles at its Sheffield store.

Each M3 005160D2 table provides a platform size of 3500 by 3200mm, a capacity of 500kg and includes a special loading flap fitted to one end of the platform.

The package included inspection hatch and double external lowering valves at the cylinders.

The tables create a level loading area and are in use constantly. They have helped improve safety for personnel handling heavy cargo.

The company also benefits from a clear stockroom floor, yet still has the facility to be able to work on a dock loading basis.
