Goods get ATEX lift June 1st 2005 Saxon Lifts has installed a new design of surface mounted hydraulic goods lift, that meets ATEX requirements, for Rohm and Haas in Dewsbury.
The lift does not require a pit, reducing the cost and time needed for installation. It has a modular design and is freestanding.
Direct acting telescopic lift cylinders fitted to an integral lift mast, raise and lower the lift between levels.
At Rohm and Haas, the lift was installed in a hazardous area and had to comply with ATEX requirements, namely Zone 2, Gas Group 11B, Temperature T3 Category 3.
Hydraulic powerpack and controls are located 20m from the lift in a nonhazardous area.
For this installation, the lift was designed to carry 2000kg between levels that are 4.3m apart, at 100mm/sec, with the mast suspended internal lift car travelling within a fully clad lift shaft. More articles from Saxon Lifts Limited: |
